The SmartVolume Speaker System
Technical Information
A compact, full fidelity speaker system that monitors ambient
noise levels and self-adjusts its volume output accordingly.
No user calibrations are necessary.
Focuses sound to the intended area.
Designed to sit flush with a plasma, lcd, or other monitor.
Can also be custom integrated into a kiosk.
Includes a computer programmable microprocessor to control microphone
sensing and amplifier.
Six speaker dual array system with woofer.
Sends and receives information remotely such as:
Change response time
Program minimum/maximum volume levels
Disable power switch
Change differential volume levels
Change amount of focus/bass
Monitor busiest/slowest times of day
Automatic Volume Adjustment
A microprocessor uses an integrated microphone to detect the
ambient noise level and compensate its own output. A volume
control knob on the rear of the unit adjusts the differential
between the ambient noise level and the speaker level. An LED
meter displays the relative differential level. Automatically
maintains a user selectable fixed level over the ambient range.
40 dB Range of automatic adjustment
55 dB Activation threshold
95 dB Maximum output at one meter
Response Time
Software adjustable (3db/second maximum)
